Mountain Sky Ranch is excited to announce the purchase of Snowmass Matrix from Double "O" Good Alpacas.

Snowmass Matrix is truly one in a million. He is the finest fleeced, highest curvature son of Snowmass Quechua standing in the world. This amazing stud won Reserve Herdsire of the Year for both LIght and Dark in 2008 with only 11 entries! In 2009 he won the Dark Herdsire of the Year and Light Reserve Herdsire. And in 2010 he repeated as Dark Reserve Herdsire of the Year.

The Matrix genetics added to the Mountain Sky Ranch breeding program will be priceless. Combined with the reserve stud females residing here, Matrix will put our alpacas to the top of the elite animals found anywhere in the world.

Matrix is a compact, robust and well proportioned stud. He has a fleece that extends its superior qualities over his entire frame. Snowmass Alpacas describes his fleece as a Merino x Vicuna style of crimp. He has a bit more organization in the expression of crimp than a true vicuna but a very high frequency of crimp indicative in the vicuna qualities. Most importantly, this stud exhibits an extreme fineness, brightness and consistency of fineness which is seen in the extension into extremities. He has held these qualities as he has aged which is exactly what we are looking for and breeding for.

Matrix's breedings are being offered for a limited time at a unheard of price as a celebration of this purchase. Once these limited number of breedings are gone, he will be restricted to our clients only!
